Gabriel Rollo, widely known as “Palito,” is an elite Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and prominent competitor representing the world-renowned Checkmat team. Born in Santos, Brazil, Rollo transitioned from a passion for surfing to BJJ at age 18, eventually overcoming the tragic loss of his first mentor to excel under the guidance of legendary coach Rodrigo Cavaca. Awarded his black belt in 2010, Rollo has cemented his legacy as a world-class lightweight athlete and technical instructor, securing prestigious titles including South American Champion, ADCC Trials Winner, and multiple podium finishes at the IBJJF Europeans, Pans, and World Pro Championships.
